A Texas Prosecutor Fights False Convictions

NPR's All Things Considered of February 5 had a story about Dallas District Attorney Craig Watkins who established the nation's first Conviction Integrity Unit in Dallas in 2007.  In the interview with Watkins, he says "as an African-American, I have issues with law enforcement". 5 min. 49 sec. transcript available. Be careful - there is a serious error in the transcript which says "We've learned that of the exonerations that we've had here, 90 percent of the individuals were identified correctly." Watkins actually said  "identified incorrectly.
