Hamdan v. Rumsfeld Two recent conferences have examined the results of the Supreme Court ruling in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld. A Georgetown University Law Center panel included the Georgetown law professor, Neal Katyal, who successfully argued the case before the Court. It is entitled Guantanamo and the Rule of Law: Military Tribunals and the Geneva Conventions and can be found here. [Video, Quicktime required, 1:30 min]. Another conference, at Washington College of Law (American University) is entitled Hamdan v. Rumsfeld: Implications of Military Commissions. It is available in two mp3 recordings of about one and a half hours each. Part 1 is here, part 2 here. For an earlier view of the same subject, you can find here a panel discussion of the Hamdan case at Georgetown a day after it was handed down in June. It is in either video (Quicktime) or audio (.mp3), and a transcript is available here.
